June 2020: still functioning perfectly. I think once or twice I’ve had to unplug the subwoofer to get it work again. Very rare occurrence. The remote can be slightly difficult to get to work (needs the right angle) but I almost never have to use it because the TV controls it. Great sound bar, 100% recommend.

December 2019 update: still working great.

Original 2018: I got this speaker a couple weeks ago and it''s been working great so far (November 2018). I plugged in both the HDMI ARC cable and the optical cable, per the instructions and it started working after I turned the TV off and then on. It turns on instantly along with my TV when I press the Apple TV remote. The volume changes through my TV remote (or Apple Remote). There are three different buttons for levels of voice clarity, but I haven''t had to use it at all which is a huge plus. The bluetooth syncing works very easily, again a problem that many other sound bars have. There is no Alexa integration, but that probably helps keep the price low (no mics or networking hardware, a plus in my opinion).

The wireless subwoofer has totally satisfactory sound for a semi-large living room, and was completely plug-and-play. I just plugged it in behind the couch and it works perfectly, no syncing needed.

This model also doesn''t have any problems that affected the last generation (namely turning off after 30 seconds if no audio input), which is great.

The price is fair, and it mounted to the bottom of my TV easily.

I was not able to figure out what the two "spacers" are that were included in the package. The instructions didn''t seem to say what they are.

Every rep there we talked to also said this one was by far their favorite. Ended up buying it on amazon cause it was $20 cheaper, and Bb didn’t have it in stock.
Don’t hesitate, the sound is awesome, the voice enhance/isolate feature is awesome for boosting the dialogue on music heavy shows/scenes. The Bluetooth is awesome and I love having it hooked up with HDMI instead of aux or Fiber

Just bought this system for Christmas gift for my dad. It arrived earlier this week and I wasn''t supposed to receive the sound bar until later next week. I tested the system to make sure is all worked with our tv and set up. We currently own a Sanyo sound bar and this destroys that sound bar in terms of sound quality and over all simplicity to use. I''ve heard Samsung sound bar and LG''s sound bar and this out performs both.

Bought this for our living room TV. The tv speakers just werent cutting it and we wanted to add something inexpensive as it is our secondary TV watching area in the house.

I have to say this system sounds phenomenal. I was worried because we have an open floorplan and our living room and kitchen make a pretty large space. Approx 30ft x 15ft but boy was I surprised. This system really has some volume. I started by streaming some music from amazon and it sounded great. Nice bass no distortion and the music filled the room with no problems. Sound quality vs price would give this system a 5 out of 5 rating.

Setup was a breeze. You just put 2 screws in the wall (use drywall anchors if you cant hit studs) and it slides right on. Template is included if you need it to layout the holes.

The ARC input allows me to control the volume with my cable remote and it powers on the system seamlessly. 5 out of 5 there as well.

Only negatives I can think of are limited sound customizations there are only 3 preset sound modes and 3 voice levels to choose from. Also the remote is lackluster. For the price these are non issues for me.

I would rwcommend this system to anyone.

Only way i could get it to work was with a soft reset . Unplugging the tv an replugging tv in then it worked but only for one day and the next day it would not work . The Samsung technician said it was incompatible with the television. This was hooking it up through the hdmi arc .the optical connection doesn''t allow the tv remote to control the sound and opical has a much narrower band it cannot process 4k signals and on normal tv sounds like you are listening to it in a tunnel with optical. I chose to return and get a Samsung soundbar

I was using the typical clunky Pioneer Surround Sound A/V Receiver with external speakers. I could never get my subwoofer working, then blew the speakers. I didn''t realize this sound bar HAS EVERYTHING included, so there''s no need for a receiver. Also, there''s no audio delay (like there was with my receiver/speakers system) since the bar connects directly to the TV instead of the old TV to receiver to speakers setup. The subwoofer connected automatically, install took 10 mins, sound quality is amazing! Can also connect phone (or other source) via bluetooth and play tunes. Very clean & simple look. Tossed the old receiver and speakers in the garbage! The only negative that you may need to consider is if you are setting the soundbar in front of the TV it can block the signal from the TV remote. It did that to me but I just pulled the bar out a couple inches and it works fine.

I bought this specifically because it has an HDMI ARC input, so I could use my existing remote to control the volume. Set up was a snap, the wireless subwoofer paired right up with no issues.

Sound is very good, just be aware - at this price point (I paid $150) you''re not going to get home theater sound. What you do get is a massive upgrade from a flat screen TVs built in speakers. The bass from the small subwoofer is subtle but noticeable, especially when streaming music via Bluetooth.

The soundbar itself is very compact, making it easy to place and very unobtrusive. Overall I''m very impressed with the sound quality and ease of set up.

When set up right the soundbar and sub sound great. My TV does not have a hdmi out so I''m only using the optical out from the TV to the soundbar.

However, two big issues I have are the power save function that powers off the soundbar after about 10 to 15 minutes. if i pause the source it is really annoying to have to get up and manually power it back on. That brings up the second issue, the remote. It only works if you are within 3 feet of the soundbar. Major pain. New batteries don''t help.

I would not buy again due to these two issues. The power save option could be fixed in a firmware update I suppose but the remote is just lame.

UPDATE: 1/9/20- So, I couldn''t stand it so I bought a new TV that has the HMDI ARC out. Now the soundbar works perfectly with all sources. The volume is controlled by what ever source remote you are using. Volume is perfect for ball games or music videos. I''m using it in my garage man cave and love it.

The optical out works but creates problems I described above. I''ve not tried the bluetooth connection.

Bottom line, if you have a TV with the hdmi ARC option this soundbar is a good bang for your bucks!

UPDATE: 3/30/20- Well the HDMI ARC connection has now stopped working. Won''t connect at all that way. I decided to try bluetooth. Every time I turn the TV on I have to do three things. 1- turn the soundbar on, it won''t automatically turn on like it did with the HDMI connection. 2- reconnect it to my TV, it won''t automatically connect. 3- turn the volume up on the sound bar all the way so I can control the volume from the TV remote.

Also, don''t pause the TV for more that 5 or 10 minutes or you''ll have to do it all over again.

I ordered a new soundbar system. I can''t recommend this one.

I basically bought this for watching BBC nature documentaries since my TV''s inbuilt speaker had hard time delivering clear dialogues but I think this Signa S2 is overkill for that purpose. I should have gone for Signa Solo which was selling for 8k during sale (including bank discounts). Now coming to it''s capabilities. FORMAT IT PLAYED : Dolby digital, Dolby digital plus, DTS, DTS-HD (Master Audio) and many other formats except Dolby TrueHD & Atmos where TV displayed something like "audio not supported in this video". My biggest concern was if it can play DTS files and it plays them brilliantly. I felt DTS sounded better than Dolby but it may be due to higher bitrate of dts files. VOCALS are amazing. Super clear. Actually whole sound speactrum is too clear with great instrument separation that you will be able to distinguish between different sounds/instruments being played. High notes tone (Tweeters) are just pleasant to listen to. Polk''s Voice adjust feature is extremely beneficial and works as advertised. But since soundbar produces such crisp and clear sound I never felt to use that feature but I tried just to test it out and it worked great. It easily fills 15x20 room with just 50% volume that you would feel like sitting in a theater. Now coming to BASS: It''s the most controversial part with Signa series soundbar. When playing dolby movies (I played Batla House and Justice league) the rumble was so huge even at low base level setting that it literally felt like being in the scene of the movie. The rumble penetrated 3-4 walls in my house and could be felt beyond 30 feet. When Polk says "Deep Bass Technology" they are truly honest with their claim. Bass felt like Sub-bass most of the time than normal Bass. Bass is what you can hear, Sub-bass is what you feel in your whole body. I also noticed there was no down firing driver in the sub. When you place your hand near sub you will barely feel anything even while producing THAT deep Bass rumble in action scene. Bass effect is more like 3D and feels like PVR cinema at home. These guys (Polk Engineers & Scientists) know the science of sound and are Master of acoustics so they have done something there in the Bass department. Now the controversial part of NO BASS. It occured mostly during streaming music via Bluetooth or even while playing directly from TV. Bass was so loose & non existent (70% of the time) that one would easily get disappointed. Only thing about the bass present during music is some "air pressure type" loose Bass ,which you can only hear, without having any body, depth, weight or punch. But when you watch dolby/DTS movies Bass will just shock you in many ways that you won''t be able to believe yourself. One can easily feel that Super deep Punch and weight with 3D effect. So there''s definitely some improvement to do in that Bass department but it won''t affect your experience during watching any movie. For music lovers I would suggest to go for Magnify Mini rather than Signa S1/S2. It was very easy to install and I used HDMI Arc to connect to my TV. Using Polk''s remote I can turn on Bluetooth ,connect with my OnePlus 7 and stream. I actually enjoyed listening to music since I rarely listen to Bass heavy songs ,so Bass issue never bothers me. I got it for around 14k so it''s Value for Money for me and actually delivers more than what I paid for. I received 4 power cables (2 two-pin & 2 three-pin). Received all other accessories like optical cable,HDMI cable, remote, batteries. Thanks for reading my review. Cheers ;)

Superb sound quality, solid enough build quality, small size, good remote, and nice minimalist design for such a reasonably inexpensive soundbar... almost completely ruined by a 15 minute auto-power-off feature that was not disclosed on this page, nor on Polk''s website when I checked it prior to purchase. I have also complained to the manufacturer directly about this feature. I bought this soundbar mainly to use with my desktop PC used mainly for online gaming, VOIP, and almost constantly for podcasts/music/YouTube/Twitch/Netflix/PrimeVideo streaming, as my Yamaha AV Receiver that I run my TV/Blu-rays/DVDs/CDs/MP3s/Sky/FireTV/mediaPC-streaming/game-consoles through has a more expensive Yamaha soundbar on it. I decided to stop using headsets on my PC when I bought a desk mic, mainly due to not liking wearing headsets, or having to keep recharging them as I preferred wireless, and most gaming headsets having terrible build quality (it was getting expensive to keep replacing Corsair/TurtleBeach/SteelSeries ones annually at £200-£300 a pop for decent quality ones), but my old Creative 5.1 speakers were not fit for purpose anymore, having picked up an annoying static hum. So I decided to look for a sub-£200 soundbar that would do the job, having been impressed by the soundbar on my home theatre set-up when I replaced an old 7.1 speaker set-up with that and barely noticed a difference in sound quality or surround sound accuracy. My Yamaha AV receiver+soundbar has an 8 hour powersave auto-shut-off, which still irks me sometimes when I''ve been listening to music all day on it, then decide to watch a movie and the receiver/soundbar switches off halfway through the movie or during climactic scenes because I haven''t touched a button on the device/remote in 8 hours. However at least 8 hours is an understandably customer-friendly (if not eco-friendly) period for a powersave feature, taking care of those occasions when you genuinely forget to switch it off once you''re done with it or have gone to bed. The 15 minute powersave on the Polk soundbar is unbelievably short and annoying - if you pause a stream or movie/TV to go make a cup of tea/coffee or go to the bathroom, or answer the phone/door, it is highly likely that the sound will have switched off when you sit back down to resume watching/listening. If you don''t realise then that''s a few seconds of playback you have to rewind once you actually get the soundbar switched back on (which takes 10ish seconds from pressing the button to sound being output). I''ve even had live game/podcast streamers need to go afk mid-stream, or a friend go afk in VOIP, for 15ish minutes, meaning no sound was output, and because I was occupied with other things (surfing the net, or playing a game on my tablet, waiting for the audio to resume) I did not realise that the soundbar had switched off, even though the stream kept playing throughout, and when the streamer or my friend returned I could not hear them and missed part of the livestream, or looked like I was being rude and ignoring my friend, because the stupid soundbar had turned off. So I''ve knocked 1 star off the 5 stars this soundbar would have got because of that stupid powersave - it''s lucky I didn''t knock 2 or 3 stars off for such an annoying "feature". Also once in about every ten switch-ons, if the sound source is already active when the soundbar is turned on, the sound will be very grainy/distorted with a loud hum emanating from the speaker, necessitating turning off the soundbar and turning it on again to "fix" the problem. I knocked another star off for that. As soon as I can afford/justify replacing this soundbar it''s gone, straight in the skip/bin, and good riddance.

Don’t hesitate, the sound is awesome, the voice enhance/isolate feature is awesome for boosting the dialogue on music heavy shows/scenes. The Bluetooth is awesome and I love having it hooked up with HDMI instead of aux or Fiber
